On behalf of the Australian farming community, the National Farmers’ Federation welcomes the appointment of Mr Daryl Quinlivan as Secretary of the Department of Agriculture.
Mr Quinlivan comes to the role with significant experience in Government. His appointment comes at an exciting time for Australian agriculture, as we await the release of the Agricultural Competitiveness White Paper.
Australian agriculture has a bright future ahead of it, and the Federal Government will be an important partner in helping the industry reach its potential.
We expect Mr Quinlivan’s experience across a number of agencies will greatly assist the development of sound and forward-looking policies for the benefit of our industry.
We look forward to meeting with Mr Quinlivan at the earliest opportunity to welcome him personally and lay plans for ongoing cooperation.
