Blueprint for Australian Agriculture launch

30 September 2011

The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) and Westpac will next week launch a call for farmers to have their voices heard on shaping the future of agriculture.

The Blueprint for Australian Agriculture will be launched at Parliament House in Canberra on Tuesday 4 October by NFF President Jock Laurie and Westpac Agribusiness Chief Executive Graham Jennings.

The Blueprint is designed to outline the role of farming and agriculture in Australia over the next 40 years, and the challenges it must overcome to achieve this.

Farmers across Australia will be invited to take part in the development of the Blueprint, with a series of workshops being held across the country over the coming months, hosted by the NFF and Westpac. All stakeholders in agriculture from farm to fork will be invited to take part in the discussions to help shape the future of the farming sector.

Media are invited to attend the launch of the Blueprint for Australian Agriculture:
Date: Tuesday 4 October
Time: 10am
Location: The Authorised Assembly Area, outside the front entrance of Parliament House, Canberra
