The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF) invites people interested in a playing a lead role in agriculture’s vibrant and prosperous future to apply for the NFF 2030 Leaders Program.
“The NFF has a vision for agriculture to be a $100 billion industry by 2030,” NFF President Fiona Simson said.
“That’s a 70% increase on the forecast value for this financial year!”
“It’s a bold vision and to guide our industry to reach its potential, we need strong, smart passionate leaders.
Ms Simson said the NFF, with the ARLF, seeks to foster the leadership skills of farmers and others across the agriculture supply chain.
“For 26 years the ARLF, has been developing leaders for rural and regional Australia.
“This program will draw on the ARLF’s proud history in leadership development and focus on the nature of leadership agriculture needs to reach our $100 billion goal.”
“I know, Team Australian Agriculture is already made up of innovative, intelligent, focused individuals – from paddock to plate, right across the value chain.
“Through the NFF 2030 Leaders Program, its our aim to take the leadership skills and capabilities of our sector to the next level,” Ms Simson said.
To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate an active involvement in agriculture (which needn’t be limited to farming) and be over 18 years of age.
Applications are now open. Applications close 31 July 2018.
The NFF 2030 Leaders Program is has been made possible by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources’ Leadership in Agricultural Industries Fund.
