Australia’s peak national farm advocacy body, the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), based in Canberra, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of General Manager, Trade and Economics. The NFF represents farmers and, more broadly, agricultural interests across the full spectrum of Australian farm activity.
The NFF is seeking a highly motivated individual with significant experience in the economic and trade policy arena and how it applies to the agriculture. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board and other members of the management team, the General Manager, Trade and Economics is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the economic and trade policies of the NFF.
This full-time position, based in Canberra, requires high-level analytical, advocacy and communication skills. Excellent stakeholder relations is essential as the position is responsible for providing policy advice to Ministers, government officials, parliamentarians and other external stakeholders.
