Australia’s peak national farm lobbying and advocacy body, the NFF, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Manager, Rural Affairs. The NFF represents farmers and, more broadly, agricultural interests across the full spectrum of Australian farm activity.
Based in Canberra and reporting to the CEO and General Manager of Policy, the Manager, Rural Affairs works closely with the NFF’s senior executive team, including the President, Vice President, Board, Members Council and other NFF Managers.
This senior role is multi-faceted, but key components of the policy portfolio include drought policy, transport, communications, research and development, chemical regulation, food policy and biotechnology.
Ideally you will be familiar with the agricultural sector and have experience in policy development. Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills combined with a proven capacity to manage stakeholders will also be an advantage. To be successful in this role, you will be a strategic thinker and a proven advocate.
