Our Members

The National Farmers' Federation's (NFF's) membership comprises all of Australia's major agricultural commodities. Operating under a federated structure, individual farmers join their respective state farm organisation and/or national commodity council. These organisations collectively form the NFF.

Each of these state farm organisations and commodity councils deal with state-based 'grass roots' issues or commodity specific issues, respectively, while the NFF represents the agreed imperatives of all at the national level.

As of 1 July 2009, under its new membership structure, the NFF instituted the Associate Member category to enable agricultural entities, including agribusiness, to be more involved with the NFF. (See the NFF's Membership Proposal 2013 for more details).

These changes allow for broader representation, better engagement through the whole agricultural supply chain and an even stronger focus on evidence-based research and policy development.
