NFF National Congress 2012: 22-23 October![]() The 2012 NFF National Congress will bring Australian agriculture together: farmers, industry and government from grassroots to global. If your - or your organisation's - future will be defined by the future of Australian agriculture, then it's time to put this date in your diary: The Congress will focus on the concepts of food and fibre security and the opportunities for Australian agriculture in feeding and clothing the world. While the mining boom is currently in focus, it will be the Australian food and fibre boom that helps feed and clothe the growing world population; helps secure Australia’s position in the Asian century; and helps Australia grow its exports - both produce and knowledge. The idea of a food and fibre boom will be investigated along the agricultural supply chain, from grassroots to global, and ties into the need for a focus on the future of the farming sector that the NFF has been working towards this year through the Blueprint for Australian Agriculture.
